hey does anybody know if the charcoal filter is classed as the fuel filter or if the filter can be open and cleaned? vagcomm syas this is a problem on my car, i done a parts search and cant seem to find one, i found a charcoal filter for a golf that looks similar so i know im looking at the correct part, i seem to have a fairly unusual engine code of alm.

There not a fuel filter as such and as far as I can tell they cant be changed it's a complete sealed unit.
